2001 dodge ram 1500, 5. 9l 360, short bed... With under 130,000 miles. The truck runs just fine, but does have a couple issues that need to be taken care of before it can even be inspected and registered. It needs a new windshield, and also new muffler & exhaust pipe (local shop quoted me $200 for oem components). The 4-wheel drive also doesn't engage, it could be something as simple as a vacuum line or the actuator... Not sure, i'm not a mechanic. The tail-gate is in rough shape, and needs manipulation in order to open & close, i have the original tail-gate and a replacement... But both still need work. Truck has a tendency to throw "cam position sensor fault" when the motor gets excessively wet, i've replaced the sensor twice... Tires have a little life left in them, not a lot... But probably enough to last through the summer. There are a few rust spots here & there on the truck, but nothing terrible... For being 16 years old i think it's still in pretty good shape. Based on year & mileage, the truck "books" for about $4000 according to n. So if i don't respond right away please be patient & understanding. Or btbentley@hotmail. Com.
